Things Hidden Book Club—Session 1

Notes from our first group Zoom meeting to discuss the beginning of René Girard's "Things Hidden Since the Foundation of the World"

The first session of our Book Club on René Girard’s Things Hidden Since the Foundation of the World was held Tuesday, November 29, 2023. We went for approx. 100 minutes. Sparse notes from our Zoom call are below, as well as some of the audio of the conversation that happened after our breakout sessions concluded.

N.B.—The primary place for asynchronous group discussion, setting up new book club meetings (which anyone can do—we need to self-organize by time zone!), and posing new questions/comments for the Book Club is in the Anti-Mimetic community on Mighty Networks, which can be found here.
