Dear Readers,
It’s time for a “personal update”, as they say. The past 14 weeks have changed my life forever—namely, the birth of our daughter, Rome Frances Cecilia. I expected to have slightly more time to write on paternity leave (for some crazy reason…), but it turned out the opposite was true. So thank you for bearing with me as I learn to adjust the way that I work in this new reality. It’s a wonderful and joyous one, if not sometimes exhausting, and I imagine that it will add richness to what you find here going forward because it already has to my life.
But it wasn’t just the time that I was spending with Claire and Rome that changed the game for me; within the first month after Rome was born, I contracted with St. Martin’s Press (the publisher of Wanting) and reunited with the same editor I collaborated with for that book to begin working on a new book, tentatively titled THE ONE AND THE NINETY-NINE.
I’m extremely fired up to start this new project, but I’m taking quite a while…
